The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) provides critical forms of support to the most marginalised people in Australia, including emergency assistance, a food bank, professional casework, and employment support.
To assist the JRS with its food bank the social justice group is conducting a food/grocery drive over 3 weekends this August.
Please donate these food and other essential items:
- Long life FULL CREAM milk (1 litre)
- Coconut milk in Can (400 ml)
- Dried Red Lentils (500g or 1kg bags)
- Brown lentils in Can (400g)
- Canned Tomatoes (400g)
- Cooking Oil (750 ml / 1 litre / 2 litre)
- Nappies (boys / girls) (Sizes 3 or 4)
- $25 and $50 Vouchers from COLES, WOOLWORTHS
The donation drop off point is St Declan's school playground behind the church.
Donation boxes will also be available inside the church foyers at both St Declan's Penshurst and St Joseph's Oatley over these 3 weekends.
