St Declan's Parish, Penshurst
St Declan's Parish is honoured to welcome the relic of St Carlo Acutis, the recently canonised young saint known for his deep love of the Eucharist and his desire to share the Catholic faith using the technology of his time.
The relic, a section of St Carlos pericardium, will be visiting St Declan's as part of its tour of Greater Sydney. This will be a special opportunity to learn more about Carlos life, pray with him and venerate his relic.
Carlo died of leukaemia in 2006 at just 15 years of age. His love for Jesus and the Eucharist, devotion to Mary and joyful witness to the faith continue to inspire people around the world. He also used his skills with computers and the internet to create a website documenting Eucharistic miracles and Marian apparitions.
