You may have lots of questions so we've provided some information below to make your first visit easy and enjoyable.
Absolutely! We believe the story and person of Jesus is for everyone! We would love to meet you and answer any questions you may have.
Yes! Many parts of the Mass and church life may be familiar to you, but some things may not be as you remember. It's our hope that St Joseph's might be a place where you feel at home.
Our weekend Mass times are Saturday 5 pm, Sunday 8 am, & 10 am.
We also have shorter daily Masses at 12 pm Tuesday and Thursday.
Visit our Worship page for more details.
All our Masses (services) incorporate prayer, readings from the Bible, a homily (message), receiving Jesus in the Eucharist, and great music. Our weekend Masses are usually about an hour in length.
Yes! We love kids to love church too. All children and families are welcome in the main part of the church. Our children's program, called Children's Liturgy, is available during our Sunday 10 am Mass and is an engaging and fun way for primary school aged children to learn about the Bible and about Jesus. See our 'For Kids' page for more information.
Everyone is welcome at St Joseph's. We have prepared a social story you can use and share. Many people find social stories (step-by-step visual aids) helpful in reducing anxiety by providing context and expectations for specific situations. We hope this Social Story about going to Mass at St Joseph’s provides guidance and support to anyone who may need additional assistance in feeling comfortable joining us for Mass. Check out our Going to Mass at St Joseph's Social Story
We want you to feel welcome to come along and join us at Mass without feeling concerned about being asked to do anything. You can leave whenever you like and while you can remain anonymous, we encourage you to introduce yourself to one of the priests or parishioners – we look forward to meeting and connecting with you.
During Mass we provide the opportunity for regular parishioners to help support our priests and parish financially. Please feel free to not contribute at this time. Many parishioners give put money on the collection during Mass.
